Product Applications:

1. Scandium (Sc) serves as a potent grain refiner and recrystallization inhibitor for aluminum alloys, which can promote grain refinement and elevate the recrystallization temperature by 250°C - 280°C. This has a significant impact on the structure and properties of the alloy, substantially enhancing its strength, hardness, welding performance, corrosion resistance, superplasticity, etc.

2. It is primarily used in welded load - bearing structural components for aerospace and naval applications, as well as aluminum alloy pipes for alkaline corrosive media environments, railway oil tanks, and key structural components of high - speed trains.

3. The melting point of scandium (Sc) is 1539°C, while that of aluminum is 660°C. Given the substantial difference in their melting points, scandium must be added to the aluminum alloy in the form of a master alloy. Scandium master alloy is the key raw material for producing scandium - containing aluminum alloys.

 

Technical Advantages:

1. Through rapid - cooling casting, the product has a uniform composition. The Al₃Sc particles are dispersedly distributed without agglomeration, and their size is less than 20μm.

2. The product features high purity, with low contents of impurities such as Fe, Si, and Ca, and the oxygen content is less than 50 ppm.
